How We Ship Your Freshly Baked Lactation Treats

At Milk & Bloom, we bake our lactation cookies and brownies fresh on the day of dispatch to ensure they arrive delicious and nutritious. Due to an overwhelming volume of orders these past few weeks—six times more than our busiest day ever—and current extreme weather conditions, we want to keep you informed on how we’re managing orders while maintaining our high standards.

🚨 Important Update: Cyclone Alfred-Related Delivery Disruptions

Extreme Weather Conditions in Queensland & New South Wales (NSW)

Severe weather is affecting Queensland and northern NSW, disrupting mail and parcel networks. As a result:

  • Australia Post and StarTrack had completely paused operations until 10th March 2025. While they’ve announced that deliveries will resume on 11th March, they have stated that they have a significant backlog to clear, and further delays are expected for any new shipments. 

  • After assessing the situation, we’ve decided to ship all QLD orders next week to ensure they arrive fresh and in the best condition since our lactation cookies and brownies are perishable. This ensures your treats arrive fresh and in perfect condition.

Your safety and the well-being of our delivery partners are our top priorities. We appreciate your patience and understanding during this time.

How We're Handling High Order Volumes

Your incredible support means the world to us! As a small business, we are committed to:

  • Freshness & Quality: We bake all treats fresh and can fulfil 40-50 orders per day to maintain our high standards.
  • Dispatching on Schedule: Orders will be shipped as quickly as possible on your chosen dispatch date.
  • Communication: If there are any issues with your order's dispatch, we will contact you directly. Please be patient with us.

Shipping & Delivery Information

Processing Times

  • Most orders are processed same day or next business day.
  • In rare cases, we may require up to 2 business days to ensure maximum freshness.
  • Weather Notice: Orders will be held until it is safe to dispatch, as our products are perishable.

Delivery Timeframes

  • We ship with StarTrack Express, ensuring your lactation treats arrive within 1-2 days after baking.
  • Weekend Shipping Notice: Orders placed after Wednesday at 10 AM will be shipped on Monday (to avoid weekend courier delays). These will likely arrive on Tuesday.
  • Weather Notice: Some deliveries may be delayed due to extreme weather conditions (see above).

Shipping Costs & Free Delivery

  • FREE Express Shipping on all orders over $70.
  • Flat-rate shipping of $15 for orders under $70.
